headlining mental health:

a tour study

The first investigation into real-time mental health on tour and the impact of support

Amber Health and MusiCares are embarking on a ground-breaking research study to improve mental health outcomes among touring music professionals. Through this study, we will gather critical data to better understand mental health risk factors and the benefits of on-demand mental health services for touring professionals. This study will be integral to informing how the music industry can better protect the mental health of those on tour and, critically, where the industry can invest finite resources to most effectively reduce mental health challenges.

Participating tours will receive a detailed, pre-tour orientation to the study and free, on-demand mental health services for all touring personnel: artists and crew. Amber Health and MusiCares will conduct the study to the highest ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality of data and adherence to Institutional Review Board approvals.

We are seeking tours launching between April 2025 and June 2025 to be a part of this study, at no cost to the tour.

Tours are eligible to join the study if they meet the following criteria:

• A minimum touring party of 50 individuals, including artists and crew

  1. • A tour duration of at least 3 weeks
  1. • Enthusiasm and willingness to improve mental health outcomes during your tour
If your tour is eligible & interested in joining us to help shape the future of mental health support in touring, please fill out the form below:
